ART WALK

OAK MEADOW'S 2010 ART WALK!!

What a fantastic show! We raised a little over $3,000.00.!! This really tells us that not only can we put on a great event, we can support the program from the event proceeds every year.

THANK YOU! To Carrie Morris for heading up the event. We couldn't have done it without your creativity and vision!!

THANK YOU! To all of our amazing docents, parents and teachers for volunteering to help get the art projects complete and making the show a great success!

Your MTM Committee

I want to say a huge, gigantic "Thank You" to each and every one of you!

Obviously our Art Walk was a success-wow! what a turn out! I know a great deal of extra time and effort went into many of the projects, set up, tear down, station working, mounting, labeling and really so much more. In my humble opinion our efforts were worth every moment of time. I am truly passionate about seeing a room full of kid generated art. Weird, I know, but our kids have so much creative talent and it is a wonderful thing to see unleashed. It just wouldn't happen without parents like you, who go the extra mile...So, again, Thank You. Oak Meadow really is a great place for our kids to be!

Do me a favor and send this on to all the people who were involved in helping you/us out in any way, shape or form!

Carrie Morris

Communication Guidelines

* Please confirm with the teacher 48 hours in advance.

* Before you cancel, try to find a sub-docent from your class. If you have to cancel, please reschedule as soon as possible. Use the docent list under MTM Documents.

* Be sure your teacher has all of your contact info, Full Name, Childs Full name (in case last names are different) email address, phone number. This will also be helpful in case there is a substitute.

* If you have to cancel the day of your presentation/art, please call the office directly and speak to Cathy or Trish so they can get a message to the teacher. Teacher's don't always check voicemail or email during the school day.

Communication is a key component to our success!

What is ARTSONIA??

Artsonia.com is the online museum that Oak Meadow uses to publish our students' artwork. Parents need to fill out a permission slip for their child in order for the art to get photographed. Artsonia offers high quality gift items imprinted with your child's own artwork, (such as luggage tags, tee shirts, cutting boards, aprons, mugs, notecards, etc.). Oak Meadow's art program receives 15% of all order revenue which will be used to purchase more art supplies for your children and make program improvements. Therefore, not only are these products excellent gifts for friends and family, but your order directly supports the Meet the Masters art program at Oak Meadow. Check out the site at www.artsonia.com in class and let the kids in your classes know about it. Our Artsonia Administrator is Raelynn Sharp. She will be coordinating all photographing and uploading. If you know of any parents who work full time or are at home with younger kids and want to volunteer but can't be in the classroom, this is a great way to vounteer. All photography and uploading can be done at your home. You can email Raelynn with your Artsonia questions at sharp5inedh@yahoo.com.
